Pressure Cooker versus Slow Cooker

As you well know, I am a big fan of the pressure cooker and not at all a fan of the slow cooker (the one I have was my grandmother's and see has been gone 20 years), although I do believe that for some people the slow cooker can do the job well.

I was reading a blog post about the pressure cooker vs. slow cooker here http://feebeez.blogspot.com/2008/11/pressure-cooker-vs-slow-cooker.html. This woman uses her cooker and understands the benefits. So rather than me go on and on about it, I'll let Fiona do it.

She also lists some pressure cooker recipes. Despite the fact that she is a fan of Miss Vickie's, I will attribute that to the fact that my pressure cooking book is not yet in the world. She also mentions Lorna Sass who is my pressure cooking mentor.

If you don't or can't plan your meals hours in advance, and want great tasting food, then get yourself a modern pressure cooker, and start using it. It will change your cooking life but as with all other things in life, there are no guarantees.

I will promise you,, though, that I will help guide you through the process, if you need me to. You can email me at jill@pressurecookingonline.com.

Great to hear from you. It's so good to know that I am not alone in my pressure cooker madness or trance.

No, you're not alone. I'm working at getting people to 'overcome the fear' of pressure cooking. It is such a great way to cook.

On an administration note, I've now changed my blog URL to www.feebeez.blogspot.com, so you may like to update your links.

I used to have two crockpots of different sizes. After I got a pressure cooker, I went down to one crockpot, and that one doesn't get used often. I use my pressure cooker almost every day.

Great to meet you! how'd u find me!! I love that you didd because you're now only 1 of 2 ppl that I've met on here that use pressure cookers as their primary technique. I've been swearing by it all my life and probably more so now that I do personal cheffing. I've finally convinced 5 new friends to buy them!

How'd you get into it!? :) Will be back for sure as I've already bookmarked you.

After read this post I think that amongst these two cookers we have to own pressure cooker because I think that this cooker is more good than slow cooker. You can check these cookers at http://www.kitchenwaredirect.com.au/Cookware/Pressure-Cooker.

“If you don't or can't plan your meals hours in advance, and want great tasting food, then get yourself a modern pressure cooker, and start using it.” – Yes indeed! Some kitchen lovers don’t have enough time to plan their meals for a longer time since they still have to focus on other household chores and their work. Using a pressure cooker will shorten the cooking time and can also assure a properly cooked and tendered meat. I know pressure cookers are in demand today, but you better get a high quality cooker to avoid cooking mishaps. :)
